SUMMER CONCERTS

Every summer, the warm air of Midtown Manhattan is filled with the sounds of music as GCP's 10-week concert series "Celebrate Summer in Midtown," enlivens a number of open-air plazas in the heart of the Grand Central neighborhood.

All of the lunch-hour concerts, held from June through August, are free and open to the public. Concert attendees are treated to a range of musical styles and performers - from Salsa and Reggae bands to Blues and Jazz soloists to Soul and Rock n' Roll combos - all of which will provide the soundtrack for another fun summer in Midtown.

The entire 2009 summer concert series schedule is listed below, and every summer, music lovers can also pick up a brochure at GCP's Tourism – Grand Central Information window on the Main Concourse of Grand Central Terminal or at one of GCP's sidewalk information carts located throughout Midtown Manhattan.

The 2009 concert series was produced by GCP with the generous support of Coca-Cola, NYC.com, H.J. Kalikow & Co., LLC; Rudin Management Company; Boston Properties; Saint Peter’s Church; and the Ford Foundation's Good Neighbor Committee.

Additional funding and support for the Grand Central Partnership's Celebrate Summer in Midtown concert series has been generously provided by:
