Jennifer M. Hensley
In her role, Jen is dedicated to the expansion and evolution of ABNY’s membership, as well as ABNY’s signature power breakfasts.
Prior to joining ABNY, Jen served as Senior Advisor to the Chairman & CEO of the Empire State Development Corporation, where she combined her experience in advocacy, business, and financial analysis with her interest in economic development. Jen oversaw major projects on behalf of the Chairman, and worked closely with teams throughout the State to structure aid to businesses, incentivize projects that lead to job growth, and advocate on behalf of New York’s employers.
Before working for the State, Jen was an Associate in Real Estate Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and was an Associate in the Office of Environmental Affairs at JPMorgan Chase.
Jen also worked for 8 years at the Alliance for Downtown New York, first as Marketing Manager overseeing the performing arts program and community outreach. Following the 9/11 attacks, Jen was tapped to oversee the organization’s recovery efforts and became Assistant Vice President of Corporate, Inter-governmental and Community Affairs. In this capacity, she worked with local businesses, major tenants and community board members to create and implement recovery programs.
Jen holds a BA from Barnard College and an MBA/MPA from New York University.
